The Telangana Civil Supplies Department has kicked off Mission K-100, a 100-day action plan that began on July 1, 2026, to fix storage, money and transport problems before the Kharif 2026-27 paddy harvest reaches procurement centres.

Civil Supplies Commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra launched the mission by chairing a coordination meeting with Food Corporation of India (FCI) General Manager G.N. Raju at Civil Supplies Bhavan in Hyderabad. The department wants the FCI to free up godown space quickly so that old grain stocks can be moved out, and it is also asking the Centre to clear long-pending dues so that the department has enough working capital for the new season.

What Mission K-100 aims to do #

The plan is built around five targets:

  • Rice delivery and evacuation: Mill and move pending Custom Milled Rice (CMR) to the FCI fast so that empty space is ready for the new harvest.
  • Stock liquidity: Sell older paddy stocks in phases to improve cash flow and cut down on warehouse rent.
  • Financial recovery: Press for pending subsidies, incidental costs and withheld central funds.
  • Modern procurement centres: Install automated equipment at busy Paddy Procurement Centres (PPCs) to reduce manual delays.
  • Better transport: Expand the vehicle fleet and use a real-time Vehicle Location Tracking System (VLTS) to remove transit bottlenecks.

A video conference linked District Managers and District Civil Supplies Officers into the rollout so that the same priorities reach field officials across the state.

Mission K-100 is essentially a pre-harvest cleanup: clear old stocks, recover money, upgrade facilities and make sure the system is ready when farmers start bringing in the new Kharif crop.
