Until the 2019 election, YS Jagan had the unconditional love and support of the entire YS family, including his mother Vijayamma and sister Sharmila. In fact, they even took care of the party activities while Jagan was in jail while Sharmila herself campaign for her brother and fought relentlessly.
But due to the business deals and relevant fallouts, Jagan distanced Sharmila and Vijayamma and even filed complaints against them. It has reached a point where Sharmila is fighting against Jagan by leading the Congress party in AP.
Subsequently, Jagan is left with not many people except his wife, Bharathi to entrust and operate his party YCP. In this context, the latest developments are suggesting that Bharathi has now started to take an elevated position in the YCP ecosystem.
Bharathi, who is characteristically away from active politics and never usually meets the party leaders directly is reportedly changing her stance.
According to the latest reports from a leading Telugu media channel, that is known for ground breaking reports, Bharathi has reportedly started to communicate with top leaders of YSR Congress. Reportedly, she is having telephonic conversations with them and discussing the party matters.
This comes in the context of the prevailing Andhra Pradesh, liquor scam and the theories about the possible arrest of former CM Jagan who inadvertently had a quintessential role in this scam. It is reported that Bharathi’s entrance in YCP activities could be to fine tune proceedings.
After Jagan, its Bharathi who has the hierarchal power to run the party and this is being cited as the reason behind her elevated presence in the YCP ecosystem.
Till now, Bharathi was only occupied with the business scheme of things associated with Jagan. But her transition into the political scheme of things has become a topic of discussion internally in the YCP groups as well, it seems.
