The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has released its latest report listing the wealth of Chief Ministers across India. The list reveals who is the richest CM in the country and who is the poorest.
Richest CM in India
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tops the list as the richest CM with declared assets of more than ₹931 crore. His family business Heritage foods brings him all these wealth. He is followed by Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, who has assets worth about ₹332 crore. These two are the only billionaire CMs in the country, as per ADR.
Poorest CM in India
On the other end, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is the poorest among all, with assets of just about ₹15 lakh, according to ADR’s data. Her affidavit for the Bhawanipur by-election showed cash of ₹69,000, a bank balance of ₹13.5 lakh, and other small savings.
