Generally speaking, securing the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a very tough task for even senior politicians. This generally requires days of waiting and contemplation.
But in the case of Andhra Pradesh, chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, meeting Modi isn’t proving to be too much of an issue. This is primarily due to the fact that TDP is of resounding importance for the NDA alliance at the center.
The latest observation is that even Nara Lokesh is finding it easier to access the prime minister. The same is evident if we look at the fact that he is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister in Delhi tomorrow.
Lokesh will reportedly be leaving to Delhi from Hyderabad tomorrow, post which, he will be meeting with the Prime Minister later in the day.
There is a lot of context for this meeting, and if dates back to the time when Modi arrived at the Amaravati 2.0 relaunch event recently. This was when Modi pointed out to Lokesh that he had invited the latter for a meeting a couple of times but he didn’t honour the same. This was when Lokesh promised to meet the prime minister at the earliest.
In tune with this, the Andhra Pradesh minister is now scheduled to meet the PM in Delhi shortly and this is going to play a key role in the transitioning of Lokesh from a local leader to a man with powerful contacts even at the center.
