The government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced a new WhatsApp governance program that brings 161 civil services to the public at their fingertips. While this is a reformative change in government administration, certain complaints have been raised by vested political groups.
The main complaint from opposition supporters is that this WhatsApp-based governance doesn’t provide data security and should be abolished. However, let’s take a look at the infrastructure behind the design of this program, which was specially conceived by Lokesh himself.
End-to-End Encryption: WhatsApp ensures messages remain private—neither WhatsApp nor any third party can access user data.
Govt-Integrated API: Mana Mitra operates via the official, secure WhatsApp Business API, which is used by global banks, airlines, and governments. There is absolutely no scope for data leakage or misuse here.
No Data Stored on WhatsApp: All data is processed within the AP Government’s secure digital infrastructure, with robust encryption and security layers.
With multiple levels of security and data privacy, there is absolutely no need for people to panic about using this system. The government of Andhra Pradesh is fully aware of the security aspects and has worked around the clock to enhance them.
It is unfortunate to see certain political groups spreading misinformation about this revolutionary program, which will ultimately benefit the people of Andhra Pradesh. Political rivalry is one thing, but undermining public-centric projects is not a constructive practice.
