Andhra Pradesh, IT minister, Nara Lokesh usually carries a calm and composed demeanour, but there are times when he gets riled up and takes the opposition to the cleaners. This was again on display as Lokesh was at his fiery best in the legislative council today.
When YCP’s Botsa Satyanarayana brought up the topic about respecting women, Lokesh immediately got up and schooled the YCP senior about the same.
“Botsa Garu, you do not have any moral right to speak about respecting women. What were you doing when your party members were verbally abusing my mother in the assembly that day? You do not have any moral right to speak about respecting women.” Lokesh said.

Lokesh further pointed out that the NDA government is committed towards empowering women and even pointed out that their government jailed a TDP social media user for abusing Bharathi, which highlights their integrity.
Lokesh was very dominant and aggressive in the council today, which does not happen usually and this left the YCP leaders gasping for breath.
It can also be noted that the government has constituted a sub committee to screen and censor social media activity. Any sort of social media misinformation and morphs will lead to serious consequences and the government has made it very clear.
