It is a common tradition in Indian politics for the ruling parties to name streets after their affiliated politicians. This has been established multiple times in the past, as we have several streets across the country, which are named after late politicians.

But for a change, Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has proposed a noble idea that could largely encourage global Tech companies to set shop in the domestic market.

At the USISPF meet, Chief minister Revanth Reddy said it’s time to move beyond political names and give space to corporate brands. He proposed naming Hyderabad roads after Google, Meta, TCS, Infosys to boost the city’s global identity.

This is an indication of the fact that Hyderabad could soon have roads named after mega companies like Google, Meta, TCS and Infosys. This is a proposal to develop an area and entirely surrounding the global company that is present in the vicinity.

For instance, we have the ICICI road, Wipro Circle and other areas in Hyderabad, which are named after the leading companies that are present here. Now the chief minister has proposed to impose this on a bigger capacity with the names of the company as the focal point.

This could encourage companies to domesticate Hyderabad, and considering that their identity will be embarked on the global rise of the city. It must surely be critical recognition for these companies to have roads named after them.

He also invited top universities like Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford to set up offshore campuses in Hyderabad, calling it a big opportunity for Global South students.

Revanth Reddy is playing to the strength of these leading companies and is coming up with innovative ideas to encourage and nourish them to further enhance the prospects of Hyderabad city.
