One of the famous dialogues of YS Jagan is “Kulam choodam… Matham choodam… Praantham choodam… Party choodam…”. Well, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has brought this notion to life with his latest gesture towards YCP booth level worker.
Going into the story, Jilan Basha, a native of the Balavenkatapuram village in Kalyandurgam is a YCP activist and he is recognised at the local leadership level. Incidentally, he had been suffering from an acute medical condition for a while now.
Upon medical assessment, it was identified that his treatment would cost Rs 20 lakh. But Jilan comes from a struggling family and couldn’t accumulate the funds. This was when he reportedly approached local TDP cadres who in turn took him to local TDP MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu.
The TDP MLA assured the YCP activist that he would do everything in his power to help him. Shortly after the MLA escalated the matter to higher authorities and sanctioned a sum of ₹10 lakh from the chief minister relief fund. He completed the process in a quick manner and handed over the check to the medically struggling Jilan. This could come a long way in saving his life now.
Back during the YSR Congress government, every effort was made to suppress and economically weak the TDP cadre at every level. But it is good that the TDP government is setting aside such revenge activities and working on humanitarian grounds. This is the difference between a humanitarian like Chandrababu and the rest, remarked a local TDP spokesman.
