A video has gone viral on social media showing a heated clash between former minister and YSRCP leader Vidadala Rajini and police officers. The footage captures Rajini pushing a police officer while trying to stop them from arresting a man named Srikant Reddy, who was traveling with her in a car.
According to reports, police stopped Rajini’s vehicle and arrested Srikant Reddy, a close aide of hers. Rajini questioned the police on what grounds they were arresting him, demanding a clear explanation.
Visibly angry, Rajini stepped out of her car, slammed the door, and nearly pushed a Circle Inspector who tried to stop her. She then lashed out at the police, questioning their behavior and accusing them of making an illegal arrest. One officer warned Rajini that obstructing the arrest could lead to another case against her. To this, she responded defiantly, saying, “Go ahead, let’s see what you can do.”
Eventually, police moved Rajini aside and entered the car to take Srikant Reddy into custody.
Rajini began her political career with the TDP and later joined YSRCP before the 2019 elections. She was elected as MLA from Chilakaluripeta and served as Health Minister under CM Jagan. Her term saw several controversies, now leading ACB cases against her and the arrest of her brother-in-law.
