Tamil Nadu politics witnessed one of its major political turnarounds in the form of the Maanadu event that was held by TVK party president Thalapathy Vijay. The political event was held in Madurai and there was a monstrous crowd turnout for the same in big proportion.

The main highlight of the program was obviously the fiery speech from Thalapathy. Unlike his usual style, Thalapathy was rampant and aggressive while he targeted every major political party in contention in Tamil Nadu.

He confidently confirmed that his party TVK will be contesting in every single one of the 234 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu.

“I am contesting in all 234 constituencies. The candidate standing from your household is none other than me. That candidate and I are one and the same. Voting for them is like voting for me.” Thalapathy said at the event.

Vijay confirmed that he will be contesting from the Madurai East constituency in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu election. This is a pretty significant announcement from the TV K president, much in advance of the election.

Thalapathy was very vocal when it came to questioning chief minister Stalin as well. “This chief minister does not have any response when we question him about public policy making and his misrule over the last 4 years. If he has any sort of concerns, he must answer every single complaint.”

Thalapathy then took the attack to Modi and Amit Shah, as he said “ This NDA government did absolutely nothing to Tamil Nadu. Be it the fishermen issue, or the NEET issue or the central funds to Tamil Nadu, we got nothing from them.”

Interestingly, Vijay even took the attack to opposition AIADMK outfit as he said Palaniswamy has no clue of how to run this great party that was launched by G Ramachandran.

With his all out attack on all the major politicians in Tamil Nadu, Vijay gave the strong indication that he is going to fight this election all on his own through his TVK party. The crucial challenge is going to be to convert this momentum into votes during the election which is the real deal.
