AP CM Chandrababu Naidu continues his UK tour with a clear mission, to bring global industry leaders to invest in Andhra Pradesh. During his visit to London, he held a series of high-profile meetings with international business heads, including a key one with Rolls-Royce Group representatives.

Chandrababu met Rolls-Royce Chief Technology Officer Nikki Grady Smith and presented Andhra Pradesh as a fast-emerging hub for advanced manufacturing and aerospace technology. He explained the state’s industrial strengths, resources, and pro-investment policies that make it an ideal destination for global collaborations.

He highlighted the potential for setting up a Military Airstrip and an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhauling) unit in Orvakal, which could serve both defense and commercial aircraft. Chandrababu also proposed that Rolls-Royce explore opportunities to produce aerospace components within the state, given its growing ecosystem of skilled manpower and infrastructure.

The Chief Minister further suggested Visakhapatnam and Tirupati as strategic locations for establishing Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and added that Bhogapuram Airport could evolve into a key aviation ecosystem with MRO facilities and training centers.

Apart from Rolls-Royce, Chandrababu also met SRAM & MRAM Group Chairman Shailesh Hiranandani and Shamko Holdings Limited Chairman Sampath Kumar Mallai. The discussions revolved around semiconductor, advanced packaging, and battery energy storage investments, where these global companies expressed keen interest.

With this proactive approach, Chandrababu Naidu aims to transform Andhra Pradesh into a leading aerospace and high-tech manufacturing destination in India.
