While the majority of the north Indian states have already been reverberating with Hindutva movement, it was Pawan Kalyan, who amplified the Sanathana Dharma movement in south India.

It was Kalyan who stood against the likes of Udhaynidhi Stalin, and others who belittled the Sanathana Dharma and raised his voice against this. In this context, his fans and followers labelled him “Sanathana Dharma Pariraksshakudu” and also “Unapologetic Sanathani.”

When asked to comment on the same, Kalyan had an interesting reaction and here’s what he had to say.

“There is no need for anyone to propagate or raise their sword for Sanathana Dharma. It has been with our country right from the inception, and no one can break the spirit. All that we need is to raise a voice whenever someone defames or humiliates the Dharma. That is the role I picked up and I will continue to do that in the future. That doesn’t mean I would like to be called the protector of the Dharma. The country itself will protect its Dharma.”

Kalyan is usually very deserted from such tags and he feels he doesn’t need the famous Power Star tags itself. So anyone who knows him by his heart will already know that he wouldn’t need any additional tags on Dharma. It is just that he says this as his duty as a Hindu and Dharma follower.
