One of the infamous and detrimental activities done by the previous Jagan government was the insane proposition to go for three capitals in Andhra Pradesh. This backfired so very badly that it reflected in the fact that YCP went from 151 seats to 11 seats.
It appears that this humbling verdict that was delivered by the people of Andhra Pradesh has been heard loud and clear by YCP top leadership. This is to be understood from the latest statement from Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
“Once Jagan becomes the chief minister again, he will rule from Tadepalli itself. We will develop the area between Vijayawada and Guntur to create a mega city that will reach till the Machilipatnam Port.” Sajjala said.
This is pretty much confirmation of the fact that YCP has taken a step back from the three capitals proposition and is sticking to singular capital of Amaravati.
It was further confirmed by Ramakrishna Reddy that Jagan will not move to Vizag, even if he becomes the CM again. This is directly disproportionate to the fact that Jagan wanted to move to Vizag and even built a lavish Rushikonda Palace there.
It appears that the YCP leadership has taken a complete U-turn from the earlier three capitals proposal after the horrifying result in the 2024 election.
