India is shocked to learn the crash of Air India plane bound to London near the Ahmedabad airport, minutes after it took off. In the most shocking revelation, the media is reporting that former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani is onboard and was travelling in the business class.
The TV channels are showcasing his boarding pass, confirming that he is also travelling on the plane. It was an Air India passenger plane — a Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft. It had a capacity of 300 passengers. We hear that along with the crew, there are 242 passengers on board.
The plane is believed to have crashed into a perimeter wall of the airport, adjacent to a residential area. As of now, the rescue operations are currently underway and the complete details of the accident will be out soon.
