The war of words between the opposition INDIA Alliance and the ruling NDA alliance was the focal point of the discussion in the Parliament session last evening. While Prime Minister Modi and home Minister Amit Shah were setting the narrative for the ruling faction, Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi very equally impressive with their retorts.
In particular, Priyanka was on the top of the game as she hit back at the rolling NDA when home Minister Amit Shah sarcastic comments on the tears of Sonia Gandhi in the parliament.
Priyanka appeared to be deterred by the statement from Amit Shah, and she had a pretty strong replied to the same.
“Amit Shah is making fun of my mother’s teaser. But there is one thing that he needs to keep in mind. Amit Shah mocked my mother’s tears. My mother’s tears came when her husband was martyred by terrorists when she was just 44 years old, this is why I understand the pain of the 26 people who were killed in Pahalgam.” Priyanka said.
The way in which Priyanka was able to draw a parallel between Sonia Gandhi’s plight and the Pahalgam terror attack was very impressive, and this speech is now going viral on social media.
On the other hand, NDA supporters are commenting that Priyanka tried to make a meal out of a sensitive situation as Amit Shah did not mark Sonia Gandhi’s tears.
“Looks like she also doesn’t pay attention to what Amit bhai was speaking. He clearly said that Salman Khursheed said that Sonia Gandhi cried for the terrorists encountered in Batla House” a hardcore BJP supporter commented under this tweet regarding Priyanka’s speech.
