Generally during the monsoon season, the roads take severe beating due to rainfall and the repair works take much longer than expected due to rain interruptions. However, deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan has rewritten this predicament with his swift action regarding a damaged road.
Incidentally, the road between Yeleswaram and Addateegala in the Kakinada District of Andhra Pradesh underwent severe damage due to monsoon rains. The road had already been in a damaged state for many years, and the recent rains have worsened its condition even further.
Subsequently, a video clipping of this road in poor condition went viral on social media and deputy CM Kalyan was quick to react to the same.
Incidentally, Kalyan had instructed the local R&B officers to focus on repairing this road on September 16 and within 24 hours, the ground works were commenced. The road repair works began on September 17 itself and thus essentially meant that swift action was taken within 24 hours after the prompt from the DCM.
The fact that a struggling road was repaired in a span of 24 hours upon the prompting of the deputy chief minister shows the kind of effective governance that the NDA government is delivering. A simple social media post has resulted in adequate action, and the problem has been resolved in just a day.
