Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan is one of the very few leaders who take their job very seriously. This was again on display as he had a pretty consolidated reaction to a question that was raised in the assembly.

A couple of days ago, TDP MLA Bonda Uma pointed out that the pollution control board in Andhra Pradesh is pretty much non-functional and they are pushing the blame on DCM Kalyan, saying they need his approval to move forward. After this problem was brought up in front of Kalyan in the Assembly, he immediately had a full-fledged reaction to the same.

Kalyan sat down with Principal Secretary of the Forest and Environment Department, Kanthilal Dande, and the Commissioner of the Panchayati Raj, Krishna Teja in his chamber and discussed the topics that were brought up by Uma in assembly.

On this matter, DCM Kalyan said, “The government has the responsibility to enforce regulations related to pollution control while encouraging investments in the state. We must not create a situation where industrialists are driven away due to this. Mistakes of this kind occurred in the previous government. People lost their lives in accidents at companies like LG Polymers.”

The deputy CM further pointed out that the PCB must operate like an independent body and take significant action against companies that overrule regulations. He called for proactive action in this regard.

A single question that was asked in the Assembly has instigated Kalyan to take significant action in his concerned departments and this pretty much establishes the kind of upright and ethical leadership he is delivering.
