The Telangana local body election process has officially begun, and political activity across the state is picking up. In this context, Pawan Kalyan is reportedly preparing to expand the reach of his Janasena Party into Telangana.
Sources suggest that Pawan Kalyan, who is currently in Hyderabad, held discussions with local leaders about the party’s future plans in the state. The focus seems to be on strengthening the party in regions like Hyderabad, Khammam, Warangal, and Karimnagar, where Janasena already has some presence.
The party leadership is said to be considering giving local leaders a chance to contest in the upcoming elections. Pawan Kalyan has also entrusted senior leaders with the responsibility of finalizing these strategies. Recently, the appointment of Ram from Khammam as the party’s general secretary was seen as a signal that Telangana is now a key part of Janasena’s expansion map.
Political circles suggest that Janasena might contest in the Telangana local body elections, possibly in alliance with the BJP. The two parties had earlier joined hands for the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, and a similar partnership could now take shape in Telangana as well.
While discussions are still in progress, both BJP and Janasena appear to be exploring ways to strengthen their presence together. With the BJP aiming to expand in Telangana, aligning with Janasena could prove mutually beneficial.
For now, it’s clear that Pawan Kalyan wants Janasena to grow beyond Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana seems to be his next major step.
