It is an open fact that Pakistan and Afghanistan have been indulging in military grade fire exchange for a while now. However, the conflict hit a new peak point after Pakistan allegedly killed multiple Afghanistani civilians including 3 young cricketers.
According to the latest reports, Pakistan carried out multiple airstrikes and bombing activities on Afghanistani land space and created an absolute blood bath.
Subsequently, the Afghanistan cricket board has issued a public communication on this matter as they said they’ve decided to withdraw from the upcoming tri-nation T20 series with Pakistan and Sri Lanka in response to the recent airstrikes by Pakistan’s military regime in Paktika, which resulted in the martyrdom of 3 domestic cricket players.
Along with that, the strikes wounded 4 more players, all who were playing the club level cricket. The board expressed sorrow over the loss of these players, calling it a great loss for the country’s sports sector, especially cricket.
The tri-series between Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan was scheduled to take place in November and it is now in serious jeopardy over this horrifying incident. Multiple Afghanistan cricketers, including Rashid Khan have tweeted on this matter and have expressed deep sorrow.
