The Indian Army has created a new global political discourse with the anti-terrorism operation against Pakistan. The neutralising of nine terrorism camps in as many locations in Pakistan is one of the most significant military movements in recent years.

Global nations have clearly been exhibiting their stance on this matter with Israel announcing full support to India while Turkey and China are with Pakistan. On this matter, the President of the United States, Donald Trump was asked for his response and here is what he had to say.

Trump took very neutral stand and asked to comment on Operation Sindoor. He did not look rushed to take any sides in this argument, but called for peace to prevail at the earliest.

“It is so terrible. I get along with both. I know both very well. I want to see them work it out, I want to see them stop. Hopefully, they can stop now. They have done tit for tat. We have a good relationship with both. If I can do anything to help, I will be there.” Trump reportedly said when asked about the prevailing situation between India and Pakistan.

The fact that Trump said he is ready to be there if help is needed as perhaps indication that the United States is ready to mediate potential peace talks.

This comes at a strategic view point where India has already communicated that they do not wish to escalate the situation but are very well prepared to retaliate if Pakistan is the aggressor. This situation is at a very vault position now, and it has to be seen how the global discourse will pan out now.
