The catchy line “Rappa Rappa” from the movie Pushpa 2 has become more than just a film dialogue. It recently turned into a political slogan in Andhra Pradesh and caused serious controversy. What started as a pop culture moment led to arguments between political parties and even ended with arrests.

During a recent visit of YS Jagan was seen supported by followers carrying placards. Few of them displayed the “Rappa Rappa” dialogue along with aggressive language. This resulted in the police arresting the person and sending him to remand. The issue quickly became a hot topic in AP politics.

Now the same slogan has appeared in Telangana. On Saturday, BRS’ Harish Rao joined a farmers protest in Jinnaram near Patancheru. A party supporter brought a placard that read “Rappa Rappa 3.0 Loading.” Since it did not contain any offensive or threatening words, the protest continued without problems.

Back in Andhra Pradesh, police had given strict conditions for Jagan’s rally. However, YSRCP supporters ignored the rules and showed up in large numbers. One of them displayed a placard with the full movie dialogue and a shocking message that said they would chop off heads once they returned to power. The next day, when the media questioned Jagan, he defended the act by saying it was just a movie line and asked what was wrong with it. He suggested that in a democracy, people are free to express themselves. These comments added more fuel to the ongoing political fire.
