In a strong signal of stability and pro-investment governance, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to clear ₹7,500 crore in long-pending subsidy dues, Economic Times reported. This major step, backed by the NDA coalition and timely intervention from the Centre, comes just weeks before the Global Investor Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14.
The subsidies will be cleared in two tranches ₹2,000 crore through a HUDCO loan this month, followed by the balance ₹5,500 crore by December. This long-awaited decision directly benefits industries and MSMEs, who had struggled under years of uncertainty.
During the previous government’s tenure, dues kept piling up, eroding investor confidence and leaving industries in limbo. Naidu, with the strength of the NDA alliance, has swiftly moved through Centre to address these concerns.
