It is an undeniable fact that SVSN Varma played a crucial role in Pawan Kalyan’s historic electoral victory in the recent assembly election in Pithapuram. Kalyan himself acknowledged this multiple times in public forums and expressed his gratitude to Varma for his contributions.
However, it appears that Pawan Kalyan’s brother, Naga Babu, is not too inclined toward Varma. This was earlier evident in the way he made satirical remarks about Varma during the JSP plenary. This sentiment was again reflected in his official visit to Pithapuram last month, where he completely ignored protocol and kept his distance from Varma, even though he toured the constituency for a couple of days in Varma’s absence.
It seemed quite obvious that Naga Babu held some reservations about Varma all along. However, that does not appear to be the case with Pawan Kalyan, as made clear during his official visit to Pithapuram today.
Immediately after Pawan Kalyan arrived in Pithapuram to inaugurate a hundred-bed hospital, Varma joined the event and stayed by Kalyan’s side throughout. He was seen right beside the Deputy CM during the inauguration ceremony, where Kalyan even extended a friendly handshake to the TDP leader.
Visually, the event strongly conveyed that Kalyan continues to value and respect Varma. It can be inferred that Naga Babu is the only one who seems to have an issue with Varma in Pithapuram, while Pawan Kalyan himself is openly maintaining a positive relationship with the TDP firebrand leader.
Meanwhile, Varma himself remains nonchalant about the matter. He has reiterated several times that he is deeply connected to the people of Pithapuram and that his only goal is to serve them, without seeking any major political mileage.
