Andhra Pradesh has successfully managed to escape the Montha cyclone with minimal loss of life. However, several districts across the state were hit by the cyclone’s impact, leading to property damage. The administration, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, was proactive in handling the situation, which helped reduce the overall crisis.

In this context, TDP supporters on social media are recalling events from 2019 when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy faced criticism for his unexpected act during a similar situation.

Back then, while Andhra Pradesh was facing the peak effect of Cyclone Fani, Jagan was spotted visiting the AMB Cinema Theatre in Hyderabad to watch Avengers. The sight of him attending a movie while the state was suffering from the cyclone’s impact drew widespread backlash.

Jagan appeared unconcerned at the time, casually walking into the theatre even as Andhra Pradesh battled severe damage from the storm.

Fast forward to now, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his team are on the ground, continuously monitoring and managing relief operations. The contrast between Jagan’s past approach and Chandrababu’s current leadership is becoming increasingly evident.
