For the better part of the last 16 months or so, Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has been in the good books of Prime Minister Modi. Despite having obviously polar political affiliations, Revanth Reddy had been in good contact with Modi with the interest of Telangana state in mind.

However, there have been occasional instances of the two of them indulging in political banter. The same happened today as Prime Minister Modi spoke against Revanth Reddy’s Goverment in a hard hitting manner.

Addressing a public meeting in Haryana today, Modi criticised the Congress ecosystem and used Revanth Reddy’s controversial HCU’s 400 acres deforestation drive to validate his point.

While addressing this public gathering in Haryana Modi stated that the Telangana government which is led by the Congress party is least bothered about poll promises but is actively cutting down for.

“The Congress government in Telangana has not fulfilled any electoral promises. And on top of that, they have driven bulldozer into green forests and cut down 400 acres of forest cover in Hyderabad.” Modi stated.

Notably, this is the first time that Modi has spoken publicly about the much debated HCU Deforestation drive, which became a national topic of discussion, a couple of weeks back. He is evidently against the deforestation drive and expectedly so as well.
