In a key political development, the Congress Party has officially announced Naveen Yadav as its candidate for the upcoming Jubilee Hills bye election. The decision came after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a high-level virtual meeting with senior party leaders to finalize the candidate.
During the internal discussions, Revanth Reddy reportedly favored Naveen Yadav’s candidature, leading to a unanimous endorsement from the party leadership. Following this confirmation, senior leader Bonthu Rammohan, who was also in the race, has withdrawn his name and extended full support to Naveen Yadav. He stated that he would actively work to ensure the Congress victory in Jubilee Hills.
The meeting was attended by AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, AICC secretaries, and TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud. The leadership reviewed survey reports, caste equations, and local feedback before arriving at the final decision.
With Naveen Yadav’s candidature now official, the Congress is gearing up for an aggressive campaign to retain its influence in the high-profile Jubilee Hills constituency.
