One of the most historic political events in Andhra Pradesh’s recent political history is happening in the form of the Mahanadu event in Kadapa. While the magnanimity of the event is on one hand, the strategic stroke of holding it in Kadapa is a completely different ball game altogether.
However, the latest developments are suggesting that the idea of holding this mega TDP-affiliated event in Kadapa is a work of a clever intellect. It is being heard that another than Nara Lokesh is behind this strategic move.
Historically speaking, Kadapa has been a fortress for YS family over the years. Political parties have found it hard to sustain in the Kadapa segment regardless of the state-wide wave. But this bastion was disseminated and breached by TDP this year. The yellow brigade absolutely swept away YCP in this otherwise stronghold of Jagan.
But the ever persistent Lokesh who had extensively toured the Rayalaseema region during the Padayatra days felt full fledged that the Kadapa bastion must be breached. On that note, he and chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had been extensively working on securing energy and automotive projects to the Seema region. This is in addition to the water projects that are being designed here.
There is already a strong impression that the NDA government and CM Chandrababu are fully committed to enhancing the livelihood of the Seema population. So strategically holding the Mahanadu event here will largely add to the prospects of TDP in a pretty strong capacity.
So, it’s now being established that it was Lokesh, in consultation with the think tank of TDP who had decided to hold Mahanadu in Jagan’s heartland of Kadapa this year. Subsequently, the yellow brigade would absolutely rule the roost here and enhance their roots.
From finding it hard to even touch or penetrate this Kadapa belt, TDP has come along way in holding their Mahanadu itself in this segment. This is a remarkable growth in the overall prospects of the party thanks to some smart and bold choices.
