As the Jubilee Hills by-election draws near, the political atmosphere in Telangana has turned tense with heated exchanges between Congress and BRS leaders. A recent viral video of a youngster claiming to be Maganti Gopi’s son, alleging that he was threatened not to return from the US, has further fueled the controversy.

Before the issue could settle, CM Revanth Reddy made striking comments about the case, referring to the allegations made by BJP MP Bandi Sanjay. Sanjay had accused BRS leader KTR of being involved in Maganti Gopi’s death. Reacting to this, Revanth said that if Bandi Sanjay truly believes in his claims, he should formally lodge a police complaint. Revanth added that politicizing a death without a proper complaint would be wrong, though he mentioned that even Gopi’s mother had spoken emotionally about KTR in TV interviews.

Revanth assured that if a complaint is filed, the government would ensure a thorough investigation into the matter.

Earlier, Bandi Sanjay’s alleged that KTR was responsible for Maganti Gopi’s death created a political uproar. He challenged Revanth Reddy to prove his integrity by ordering an impartial inquiry and even demanded that KTR be interrogated rigorously to reveal the truth. Sanjay also made strong personal remarks against both KCR and KTR, accusing them of power-hungry politics and internal rivalry within the BRS.
