The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a proactive stand when it comes to inviting substantial investments to the state. IT Minister Nara Lokesh is at the foreground of the investment drive and the same was observed at the Investopia event, which is an investors summit that was held in Vijayawada last night.

Speaking at the event, Lokesh said this generation is fortunate to witness industrial revolutions happening in quick succession.

He addressed the topic about the economic status of Hyderabad as he said “We’ve seen how something like an airport can transform an entire economy. Just look at Hyderabad Airport, I think, it now contributes nearly 16 to 18 percent of Telangana’s GDP. I believe that’s what data centres actually can do.

About implementing the ongoing AI-centric model to the Amaravati project, Lokesh said this is the vision they had as far back as 2017–18, when ChatGPT in its current form didn’t even exist. That’s when we brought key players to Vizag to turn it into India’s data city.

I’m definitely counting on G42 to support us in this journey. India and the UAE share a lot in common. Without a doubt, India is the future. We will be a $30 trillion economy by 2047, and Andhra Pradesh will contribute around $2.5 trillion to that, Lokesh concluded.

The IT minister then had meetings with the principal investors as he sought to bring multiple new opportunities to the state. He stood on the foreground while leading the charge at the summit.
