For the last few weeks, South Indian politics have been extensively debating about the natural acceptance of Hindi language at large. While most regional parties in South India have been strongly opposing the same, Andhra Pradesh, deputy chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, and the NDA government as whole has been strengthening this narrative.

Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan had repeatedly been emphasising the need to have Hindi as an accepted Raj Basha even in South India. He has been clearly demonstrating the fact that there is absolutely nothing wrong in learning new languages and in fact, added that Hindi must be propagated all along.

Incidentally, IT minister, Nara Lokesh has backed the statements of Kalyan as he seemed to be in approval of enhancing Hindi as the link language, even in South India.

“Our chief Minister Naidu Garu has been repeatedly stressing on the need to learn new languages. It isn’t just about Hindi. We can even learn Japanese, German and other languages as well. But with us being Indians, it is crucial that we follow Hindi as the link language. I see absolutely no fault in this.” Lokesh pointed out.

Lokesh said he feels sad that languages are being pit against each other while we should be collectively enriching our culture by supporting domesticated languages along with the universally accepted English.
