Chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu generally follows a no-nonsense approach when it comes to maintaining law and order, and he is only going to be all the more proficient when it comes to his own constituency of Kuppam.
Incidentally, there was this one particular unfortunate incident that was recorded in Kuppam and grabbed the attention all over on social media.
In a set of viral videos of woman is seen tied up to a tree while her school going son is seated on a nearby rock. This visual caught the ire and social media users felt this isn’t the way a woman is supposed to be treated in front of her son.
After further assessment, it was established that this woman is named Sirisha and she’s a native of Narayanapuram, Kuppam Mandal. She and her husband fled the village after failing to repay the loan of ₹80,000 to a local named Munikannappa. Subsequently, the lender got a hold of the lady and tied her to the tree to pressurise her into repaying the loan.
However, the inhuman treatment that was given to the lady was protested by one and all. Incidentally, the matter became so very serious that chief minister Chandrababu himself ordered the local authorities to punish the culprits upon learning of the incident.
Subsequently, the police communicated that the culprits were arrested already, and the woman was set free. CM Babu, further communicated that there must be no such incidents in the future as he called for strict maintenance of law and order.
Home minister Anita also responded on the incident as she spoke with the victim through a video call and assured her of all possible support. The fact that the chief minister and the home minister responded immediately to a video on social media shows the kind of effective governance that is being delivered, commented a neutral observer.
