It is an established fact that Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy and BRS working president KTR are the fiercest of rivals. They do not miss even a single occasion to have a go at each other. And now, KTR has found a perfect opportunity to drag Revanth’s name in the ongoing National Herald Case.

Incidentally, the Enforcement Directorate charge sheet that was filed earlier today had Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy’s name included in it. He wasn’t named as one of the accused in the case, however, his name featured in the list of the individuals who could’ve conspired the operation.

KTR pointed out that Revanth Reddy has become the “bag man” of Telangana and his corrupt practices have become a menace for the entire state. He added that Telangana has become an ATM machine for “Scamgress” and cited the National Herald Case as a testament to the same.

Coming to the National Herald case, it has congress bigwigs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as the accused. The operation dates back to 2010 when Sonia and Rahul took control of Associated Journals, which published now defunct National Herald. The allegation is that Sonia and Rahul had taken control of the company for a mere Rs 50 lakh through invalid approvals.

Now, according to the ED, Revanth who was an MLA in 2010 had directed multiple individuals to donate around Rs 80 lakh to the National Herald in 2022. Incidentally, Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar is also named in the case.
