The highly controversial programme that Sakshi media televised against Amaravati where a guest journalist called it a city with sex workers has started to have repercussions. Senior journalist, Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, who happened to mediate this program was arrested by Andhra Pradesh Police in Hyderabad today.
Shortly after the arrest, YSR Congress ecosystem woke up and started to blame the police department and also chief minister Chandrababu Naidu for the same.
Pulivendula MLA and former chief minister YS Jagan took serious offence to this matter as he called out Chandrababu for arresting a senior journalist.
He stated that the government of Andhra Pradesh is following an anarchic system and the fact that a journalist was arrested and a media channel is being made scapegoat is not going to be taken lightly.
As usual, Jagan tried to warn Chandrababu by saying the elections will come again in 4 years and there will be consequences for him at multiple levels.
However, TDP supporters are digging back the old videos from 2023, when the very same Kommineni made highly insensitive comments while Chandrababu was arrested. They are pointing out that YCP and its celebrated the arrest of an ex CM(CBN) without legal precedent but are finding moral stories when a badmouthing journalist is facing consequences.
