The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan is stepping out in the public only when there is some sort of a casualty or an untoward incident. He had recently toured a couple of districts in the name of consoling families of those who had allegedly died due to political forces.
Today, again Jagan stepped out, but this time it is to visit the families of the victims of the unfortunate Simhachalam wall collapse incident which claimed 8 lives.
But by the time Jagan had arrived, the Andhra Pradesh, government had already communicated that the victims will be paid a financial compensation of ₹25 lakh. So Jagan came up with a counter mechanism for the same.
The YCP boss stated that back when he was the chief minister, he announced a compensation of ₹1 crore to the victims of LG Polymers accident and demanded same package for Simhachalam victims. He linked the man-made disaster of LG polymers to the unforeseen and unfortunate wall collapse incident at Simhachalam and demanded alike compensation.
Then came the standard statement from Jagan as he against said “Memu Vachaaka”(After we come to power) while promising a compensation package for the victims. “If Chandrababu does not give one crore compensation to victims, I will make it happen after I become the CM again. I will credit the different amount to each of the victims after I become CM.”
In this context, Telugu Desam and Janasena supporters are funnily pointing out that Jagan had not even given the one crore donation that he announced during Vijayawada floods yet. Moreover, they are pointing out the desire for Jagan to bring up the topic of him becoming the CM again, even during sensitive times like these.
