For the last few weeks, there have been several discussions in the Telugu states about the promotion of the Hindi language. This narrative has been prominently highlighted by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Lokesh.
Now, Pulivendula MLA YS Jagan has also joined the debate. For the first time, Jagan has spoken about the ongoing discussion regarding the propagation and acceptance of Hindi.
“What is there to debate here? Hindi is our national language and it should be accepted. But when it comes to natural acceptance and educational purposes, then it can be argued that English must be seen as the primary choice. English should be the core language for primary education,” Jagan stated.
When Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh recently remarked that Hindi is the national language, it sparked a strong backlash from YSR Congress social media activists. They questioned how Pawan and Lokesh could categorize Hindi as the national language, claiming that this is not necessarily a fact.
But now, YCP chief Jagan himself has publicly stated that Hindi is the national language and that there is nothing wrong in accepting it.
