Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is known for his theatrics during political speeches, and he did not disappoint in his latest media appearance.

Jagan was asked to comment on the controversial posters seen at his public meeting in Sattenapalli the previous day. The posters featured Jagan in a violent avatar with the dialogue “Rappa Rappa” from Pushpa 2, implying a bloodbath if Jagan returns as Chief Minister.

Instead of condemning such a portrayal, Jagan seemingly validated the aggressive tone, saying,“What’s wrong in using Pushpa dialogues? Is it against democracy to use a film dialogue?”

Jagan took it a step further by mimicking Allu Arjun’s beard-touching mannerism from Pushpa, reinforcing his endorsement of the message in the poster.

While aggressive cinema-style slogans may be common in Telugu pop culture, a former CM encouraging such antisocial symbolism has raised eyebrows. His response is being criticized as irresponsible and dangerous, especially when political communication is expected to be constructive, not provocative.

In a surprising twist, there was an attempt to shift the blame to TDP, with YCP leaders claiming that the individual who held the violent poster was a TDP member. However, this deflection hasn’t helped, as the posters have clearly backfired, and Jagan now appears to be in damage control mode.
