It has been around a year since the formation of the new NDA government in Andhra Pradesh and not once did former chief minister YS Jagan take the occasion to step out in the public to partake in any sort of protest.
Later last year, Jagan had announced the plan to hold district level tours and meetings after the Sankranti season. And it has been over six months since this announcement, but Jagan still hasn’t materialised this proposal.
Cut to now, the YSR Congress president has announced the ambitious plan for the upcoming Padayatra 2.0 which has been in discussion for a long time now.
While addressing the YSR Congress cadres today, Jagan announced that he will be getting back on his Padayatra towards the end of this tenure. He promised to get more in touch with the local leaderships and working cadres during this Yatra.
“These district tours and meetings program is also in my mind. They will be happening correspondingly in the coming future. This will all be rounded off with the Padayatra 2.0 in the end. I will make sure that I will speak with you all at an individual level during this Yatra.”

It can be noted that Jagan had previously gone on historic Praja Sankalpa Yatra before 2019. But this kind of fire is obviously missing in Jagan this time, as he is very stagnated with his approach towards public outreach. He is confining his time entirely to his Bengaluru house and is rarely coming to AP itself, let alone spending time with the public.
With so many factors involved, it has to be seen when Jagan would actually be materializing his word and get on this Sankalpa Yatra 2.0.
