The politics in Delhi can be difficult to navigate, especially for politicians from South India. It’s a common sight to see southern leaders, including chief ministers, waiting for days just to secure appointments with Delhi’s top brass.
However, the case is strikingly different for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He is receiving remarkable respect from the central leadership in Delhi, and a series of pictures circulating online clearly reflect this growing influence.
Naidu arrived in Delhi yesterday to attend the NITI Aayog meeting. Following this, he held a series of high-profile discussions with top Union ministers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah.
In several pictures that have surfaced, Naidu is seen seated right beside these powerful Union ministers. Notably, he was given an equal chair next to the likes of Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, something that even other chief ministers often struggle to achieve, let alone other politicians.
While many leaders work hard just to get an appointment, Chandrababu Naidu is being offered a seat at the table as an equal. This demonstrates the level of respect and influence he holds in Delhi’s corridors of power—a very encouraging sign for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
This high regard is attributed to the strength of the TDP in the Lok Sabha and also serves as a token of recognition from the central leadership for the veteran politician. Given Naidu’s political acumen, there is strong hope that he will use this influence to benefit the people of Andhra Pradesh, rather than for any self-serving agenda.
