The capital region of Amaravati is continuing to gain significance in Andhra Pradesh and things are starting to look really positive. The same is to be understood if you look at the latest communication from union minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar.
The union minister has confirmed that the central Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has procured 10 acres in Amaravati and will start social infrastructure projects here.
The primary communication is that HUDCO will set up a world class convention centre in Amaravati and related agreements have been made already.
This state-of-the-art Centre, developed on the lines of the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, will feature world-class facilities for HUDCO offices, training in housing & urban development, and serve as a financial hub for national & international development agencies.
It will also include a green atrium, convention halls, guest rooms, recreation facilities & club areas making it a win-win for both HUDCO and APCRDA. Once completed, it will serve as a nerve centre to boost the economy, attract investments & place Amaravati on the map as a hub for global-scale events.
