The infamous Andhra Pradesh liquor scam, which occurred during the 2019 to 2024 Jagan regime, is now coming back to haunt the YSR Congress Party. Several key leaders close to Jagan and allegedly involved in the scam are already facing legal consequences.
In this context, YCP MP Midhun Reddy is also expected to face legal scrutiny. He has been making desperate attempts to secure legal protection by seeking anticipatory bail from the High Court and Supreme Court.
Recently, Midhun Reddy once again approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court for anticipatory bail. This came soon after the government counsel argued that Midhun played a critical role in shifting liquor sales data from an online system to manual entry, which allegedly opened doors for errors and fraud.
Midhun Reddy has been named as Accused No. 4 (A4) in the case and is now facing serious legal risk. Aware of the situation, he approached the High Court for relief, but the court dismissed his plea.
With the High Court rejecting his anticipatory bail petition, Midhun Reddy must now face the inquiry and any subsequent legal action. This development marks a significant turning point in the ongoing liquor scam investigation.
