In tune with his vow to make government schools rival private institutions, Education Minister N. Lokesh is taking up new initiatives to hone the skills of the students in government schools. As part of it, he had ensured that the schools were provided with additional classrooms and infrastructure, under the Mana Badi-Mana Bhavishyattu.
Today a team of students from AP government schools were taken to New Delhi, in a IndiGo flight, sponsored by the government. The students would visit the National Science Museum, Nehru Planetarium and Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi. The students would stay in the national capital for two days to complete visiting all the places on the itinerary. Lokesh hoped that the two-day tour will enhance the practical understanding of Science and Technology. He wished them a safe travel and return with enriched knowledge.
Such initiatives would help the students get more exposure and also gain better knowledge of various perspectives in the world. A visit to a new place would also teach adaptability and adjustment with the surroundings. The tour would be like a window to a new world to the students, when their horizons are likely to expand and goals reset. Lokesh has already won the heart of the electorate with several initiatives like attracting heavy investments into the state, and also providing jobs to hundreds of youth.
