Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan, is leaving a significant mark in public service with his innovative strategies aimed at rural development. His efforts are yielding tremendous benefits, one of which is the national recognition now being bestowed on the Etikoppaka dolls from North Andhra. These unique dolls have earned a rare honor with the central government approving a special stall to showcase them at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, the official residence of the President of India. Sharath, an artist from Etikoppaka village, has been granted the prestigious opportunity to set up the stall.
Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government displayed a cart decorated with Etikoppaka dolls at the Republic Day celebrations, where it garnered significant attention and won third place. But beyond the award, what truly stood out was how the parade spectators were captivated by the charm of these dolls. Following the event, many people were eager to learn more about the dolls and took to the internet to search for information. Crafted using non-toxic paints and soft wood, these dolls are recognized as ideal toys for children, and their unique qualities left many in awe.
Etikoppaka dolls have already achieved considerable recognition both domestically and internationally. With the approval to set up a stall at Rashtrapati Bhavan, these traditional crafts are now gaining even more prestige. Visitors to the Bhavan will undoubtedly be drawn to the charm of these creations. This exposure is expected to provide new opportunities for the local artists, and Pawan Kalyan’s strategic initiatives are set to expand the market for Etikoppaka crafts, helping them reach a much wider audience.
