The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a progressive step in attracting investment opportunities. IT Minister Nara Lokesh has already announced that leading IT companies will be offered land at negligible prices if they are willing to set up operations in Andhra Pradesh, and this strategy is already proving to be a game changer.
In this context, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has now confirmed that tech giant Google is set to establish its largest data center outside the United States in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, the total land area likely to be allocated for this massive project is around 500 acres in the Madhurawada region of Vizag. Google has already signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the initial development of the data center on approximately 80 acres, with additional land to be allocated as the project progresses.
The entry of global giants like Google and Microsoft is expected to spark a major IT revolution in Andhra Pradesh, precisely the vision Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is aiming to realize.
