A fire accident occurred on Friday morning at the Secretariat, a key administrative hub located in the Amaravati region, which is crucial for the functioning of the state’s governance. The flames quickly escalated into a large blaze, surrounding the area with fire. The equipment in the room where the fire occurred was completely destroyed by the flames. The fire broke out in a block where the office of AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan is located. However, since the incident occurred on the ground floor, Pawan Kalyan’s office was not affected by the fire.

The office of Pawan Kalyan is situated in the second block of the Secretariat, along with several other key ministers’ offices. These include the offices of Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita, Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana, Civil Supplies Minister N. Manohar, Tourism Minister Kandukuri Durgaesh, and Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy. Therefore, the offices of several important departments are in this block. The cause of the fire remains unclear, but suddenly, the fire erupted on the ground floor of this block on Friday morning.

Firefighters rushed to the scene as soon as the news of the fire spread and quickly brought the situation under control. The fire is believed to have started in a room where batteries were stored. Preliminary information suggests that the fire was likely caused by the batteries. Upon receiving the news, Home Minister Anita immediately contacted the authorities to inquire about the situation. She questioned them about the reasons behind the accident and sought details about the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
