The deadly bus fire in Kurnool, which killed 20 people, has sparked a strong reaction from Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar. He said drunk drivers are like terrorists because their careless actions take innocent lives.

The accident happened on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway when a Kaveri Travels sleeper bus hit a bike that had already crashed. The biker, 28-year-old Shiva Shankar, was drunk. His bike got stuck under the bus, the fuel tank burst and the bus caught fire within seconds. Twenty passengers died, and 21 people were injured.

Officials later found that the bus was an illegally modified sleeper without proper safety measures. After the tragedy, over 60 unsafe private buses were seized by authorities.

Sajjanar took to social media and wrote, “Drunk drivers are terrorists. Period.” He warned that anyone caught driving drunk in Hyderabad will face strict punishment with no mercy.

His post received a strong response. Many people supported his warning and demanded strict action on drunk driving and illegal buses.

This tragic incident has once again shown how dangerous drunk driving and unsafe vehicles can be. People are now hoping for stronger rules and serious enforcement to prevent such disasters in the future.

Drunk drivers are terrorists. Period.Drunk drivers are terrorists and their actions are nothing short of acts of terror on our roads. The horrific #Kurnool bus accident, which claimed the lives of 20 innocent people, was not an accident in the truest sense. It was a preventable… pic.twitter.com/oXTp0uOt2k— V.C.
