Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan has been extensively focusing on the promises that he made before the 2024 election. He had already promised 100 day resolution to the Uppada Beach erosion project and has now delivered on another one of his earlier promises.

The deputy CM has fulfilled the promise made during the last elections to take responsibility for returning the lands under the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to the farmers.

Kalyan has sit in motion the initiative to exempt stamp and registration duties for 2,180 acres of land under the SEZ and ensuring their registration back to the farmers. This will benefit approximately 1,551 farmers in the Tondangi, Uppada, and Kothapalli mandals along the Kakinada coast.

In coordination with chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, the deputy CM made sure that the Kakinada SEZ lands are rightfully returned to their respective farmer owners.

The previous Jagan government issued G.O. No. 12 regarding the Kakinada SEZ lands but no benefit actually reached the farmers at the ground level, and registrations were not carried out in their names. But Kalyan made sure that a comprehensive solution is found as he initiated the process to return the lands to the owners on priority.
