Usually, politicians try to keep themselves above the law. In cases like land acquisition or demolitions, they often protect their own properties while common people face the impact.

But Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy set a different example. The compound wall of his ancestral house in his native village, KondaReddypalli in Mahbubnagar, was demolished as part of a road expansion project.

The project aims to widen the road from 40 feet to 60 feet. In this process, several houses and compound walls have been affected. Unlike usual cases, the CM made it clear that there should be no exceptions, not even for his own property. Following his orders, the authorities demolished his compound wall to carry out the road widening work.

This move has impressed the villagers. Seeing the chief minister lead by example, they are also coming forward to cooperate with the road project, which will improve infrastructure in the area.
