Latest communication from the government of Telangana confirms that K Ramakrishna Rao of 1991 cadre has been appointed as the new chief secretary of Telangana.
Existing chief secretary, Shanti Kumari will be retiring from duty on April 30, and the appointment of Ramakrishna Rao will be completed correspondingly.
Coming to the GHMC Commissioner position, IAS officer R.V. Karnan, who gave all hotels, restaurants a run for their food safety, is the new GHMC Commissioner.
Karnan is regarded as one of the sincere and straightforward IAS officers in Telangana, administrative wing, and his appointment as the GHMC commissioner comes at a crucial point in time.
