Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, made explosive comments on BRs Leader Harish Rao on Sunday. Revanth visited the site of the accident at the SLBC tunnel in Domaalapenta to inspect the situation. After assessing the site, he held a review meeting with officials and spoke to the media. During this interaction, when the media brought up opposition allegations that the Chief Minister hadn’t even acknowledged the issue a week after the accident, Revanth responded sharply.
He clarified that his government had responded swiftly immediately after the incident. He also praised Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, who has been on the ground overseeing the rescue operations due to his experience in the Indian Army. Additionally, two other ministers, Jupally Krishna Rao and Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, were also involved in supervising the rescue operations. Revanth asserted that even though he hadn’t physically visited the site earlier, he had been monitoring the situation closely from wherever he was.
However, he expressed anger over the opposition’s accusations that he had ignored the issue and was not taking any action. Revanth then turned his attention to Harish Rao’s actions after the incident. He questioned where Harish Rao had been following the accident, pointing out that Harish had reportedly gone to Dubai after the tragedy. Revanth claimed that Harish Rao had spent two days in Abu Dhabi attending parties and hosting lavish dinners. He challenged Harish to deny these claims, saying that if the facts weren’t true, he would reveal further details. Revanth even suggested that Harish’s passport and airport records could easily expose the truth.
Revanth further questioned why Harish Rao had not come to the site of the accident for a whole week after it occurred. He mocked Harish’s explanation that his presence would have interfered with the rescue operations, asking if his own visit as Chief Minister would have disrupted efforts. Revanth criticized Harish Rao for talking in a manner that suggested anything the opposition said was acceptable and called it inappropriate.
Revanth made it clear that he wasn’t trying to expose Harish Rao’s personal life, but rather he was responding to Harish’s accusations and laying out the facts. His comments about Harish Rao reportedly enjoying parties in Dubai have sparked a major discussion in the political circles.
