Tensions have flared in Telangana politics after BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy made serious and controversial allegations against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. His comments have triggered backlash, protests, and a police case.

During a media meet at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, Kaushik Reddy accused Revanth Reddy of tapping the phones of Heroines, including Miss World contestants, and allegedly blackmailing them. He claimed to have knowledge of the Chief Minister’s movements in Jubilee Hills, Dubai, and Delhi, saying he would reveal the names of sixteen women linked to him if Revanth did not stop speaking irresponsibly. Kaushik insisted that these were not just allegations but facts he personally knew from his time in the Congress party.

Congress leaders strongly condemned Kaushik Reddy’s comments, calling them defamatory and damaging. They immediately filed police complaints across various stations in the state. One of the key complaints was submitted at Rajendranagar Police Station, where video evidence of the MLA’s statements was provided. A case has now been registered against Kaushik Reddy based on this.

Following this, Congress student wing NSUI launched a protest near Kaushik Reddy’s residence. Anticipating tension, the police deployed heavy security outside his home. Still, several NSUI members reached the spot through alternate routes, creating a charged atmosphere.

This incident has further intensified the ongoing political rivalry between Congress and BRS. The next course of action from BRS leadership and any legal developments will be closely watched.
